I bought a new RX350 two week ago. I noticed peeling on the leather drivers seat surface just today. I inspected it a bit closer and I was able to pull up a quarter size piece of the surface. It is almost like peeling a thin layer of paint. Any idea what this is or what might be going on.

I have absolutely noticed a leather problem as well..I miss my old RX 300.
This one "holds onto" all of the smudges and spots..They don't rub off easily like they are supposed to..ANd the carpet as well is not resilient..a little shoe polish mark or rain spots do not lift off.
DOes anyone else have this problem and have any ideas??

I have an RX300 and the driver seat ripped along the side panel near the electric controls. The dealer said the material was defective and repaired it. A few months later it ripped 4" away from the previous rip. The corner of the seat is also peeling like your. I am checking if the leather seats are all leather or just the top seating area. I have been told by Lexus corporate custome service rep that she is not sure if the entire seat is leather.
