the 253 mph top speed is governed? So what is the top speed without the restriction?

The car's speed is normally governed at a lower limit(in the 200mph ballpark). You need to have it reset by Bugatti to hit the 253mph.

Too bad you can only go a certain speed limit on the roads here in the United States. Go over & its a ticket from the cops. Thats why..... What the hec' am I saying? You say max speed is around 250mph! Good luck coyote(Police) chasing the road runner(Your car) down the highway. They wouldn't stand a chance if you gunned it. Their CB radio is faster than their car, so beware. Id rather have a house than that car though. Wish I were as wealthy as you. The US government doesn't pay me enough to own that kind of machine.

Going 250mph on a freeway is suicide anyway because at that speed you're covering a mile every 25 seconds or so
I doubt anybody is going to be doing those speeds on anything outside of a controlled environment such as a closed down airport or the Bonneville flats

actually its 60 miles an hour which equals 1 mile in 60 seconds. 250 MPH would be a mile in a little under 15 seconds ...
