Hey everyone! I just recently purchased an '04 Volkswagen Jetta. Now I need to get car insurance, but I don't have a lot of money to spend. Can anyone recommend a company that is known for cheap car insurance. I realize that there are a lot of factors that go into car insurance prices, but I figured that some are cheaper than others. All suggestions are appreciated. Thanks a million!

Waitaminutenow, Volkswagen was the one offering free car insurance to new-car buyers this year.

Welcome to the forums SarahFL!
I'm not familiar with the local car insurance providers in Florida, or wherever you are located within Florida. Most of the online insurance quote destinations will show you rate grids that will let you compare the different prices.
Everyone will claim that they can offer you the cheapest car insurance rates, but you really won't know until they plug in all of your details and specifics and give you a customized quote. It has become pretty easy to do this all online.
Hope this helped. Good luck!

I know Mr. Automotive Dotcom , I found that out after I bought the '04. I should've spent more money and gone with the '05! Oh well. Thanks for the advice BMWDude, I guess I will start visiting the providers' websites and getting quotes.

Glad I could help SarahFL. Also remember to ask friends, colleagues, and family members for the provider that they are using and the price they're paying. You may be able to pick up on a good deal.

SarahFL,
You should check out www.progressive.com for insurance rate comparisons and some general information.
As others have stated, the rate you're quoted and how cheap your insurance is will ultimately depend on your age, driving record, and a few other major factors.
Good luck!

BTW, that VW free insurance deal was short-lived. They killed it.
