the trac light comes on while driving and the car seems to shift harder  

Could be a wheelspeed sensor...could be the ebcm...could be the ipc...  

Are there any DTCs set...Do you have an ABS light on...I have seen the PCM connectors corrode on these cars causing all sorts of odd problems as it is located in the fender well and the connector seals are ***
