Audi RS4 vs. M3 drift competition. It's amazing to see how sideways both cars can get... especially the RS4. Both incredible machines..

You have to admit the M3 is legendary for being 6 years old with 6 cylinders and is still compared with the V8 RS4 which was just introduced here at U.S. this year!! Lets not even talk about the $20k difference in price!

They were drifting, not racing so you can't use this as a performance comparison, but yes for being 6 years old it is impressive, the RS4 is faster, handles better, will out stop and even rides better than the current M3. The RS4 is more comparable in performance to the M5, so lets talk about the 20k difference in price there.

The new e90 M3 should be very impressive with it's new V8. I have a feeling that it will be much closer in price to the RS4 than the e46.

like aquabat said, its not a "real" comparison.  they were comparing how well both cars drift.  the m3 can actually drift (rwd) even though the RS4 splits torque, its still AWD!  you cant drift awd (actual drifting that is).

that would be like comparing both cars on gravel or dirt. giving the AWD car an edge.

but it was some really cool drifting in the M3.  the driver was actually very skilled at drifting.
