The other day I noticed some thick black greese under my chassis. I think it was or had been coming out of the cv boot. Any idea how long I will have before I need servive here? And what the costs are?

if your boots are ripped, you want to get them replaced soon. This way you wont be replacing your axle in the future and it will save you a lot of money. If i remember correctly a cv boot is generally a 1-2 hr job... at an average of $80 and hour.

If you good to a parts house, The hole assembly can be cheeper then having someone spend the time to replace the boot if they don't know what they are doing. This way you get everything.
