Here's the senario: 1950 chevy p/u, 1995 corvette lt1 w/ 4l60e. Factory harness hooked to a wire works harness. Problem won't shift out of 2nd gear. I pulled the valve body and installed a transgo improver kit to see if that would help along w/ new solenoids and harness. No go still in 2nd. All the wiring is correct. Scanner showed the pressure manifold was bad, changed it also. No go still in 2nd. Here's the stumper: The range signals are reading incorrectly. When in park the signals read illegal signal. When in drive the signals read 1st gear signals. Every thing is reading the opposite of what their suppose too. Any ideas?I didn't change the epc could it be bad?I also changed the vss mine was leaking still, no shifty.I've been pulling my hair out trying to solve this problem! It's the only problem i've had and would like to get this 3 yr. build on the road.Any and all response's would be appreciated.Wilbur
Cool!! Got any pics posted? Could your problem be related to th MLPS sensor or the wiring/connections to it? I would disconnect it an see if there is any corrosion or bad connections to it.Let me know if you don't figure it out and I can check with my tranny guru. But only if we can see some pics!Gary
I don't beleive the transmission is the problem. Multiple problems with sensors and solenoids is most likely a bad ground at the ecm or no +12v at the trans connector terminal "E". Check all your connections and be sure its wired correctly. Remember everything in this trans is powered by voltage at "E" and the ecm supplies the grounds.
