That's right. When I'm slowing down to stop, my foot on the brake and not on the accelerator, the car starts revving on it's own. As soon as I get back in gear, it calms down again, until the next time I come to a halt.
It's also overheating, the radiator's fine, it's not leaking. But the water is boiling on a short run. Would that be related to the revving I mentioned above.
It's a Ford Fiesta 1.1L, 2000 reg with 27,000 miles on the clock.
I'm not getting a warning to say the thermostat is malfunctioning. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
