So I was cruising the internet and found some stuff on the upcoming Transfomers movie, and according to the source Bumblebee the little yellow robot who transformed into a volkswagen beetle won't be a volkswagen beetle in the movie.  I don't know how reliable my source is but supposedly Volkswagen wouldn't give the studio the rights to use teh volkswagen beetle in the movie so instead they're going to make him into a Camaro or something.  This is dumb, they let the original cartoon makers use the original beetle 20 years ago when Transformers first started, what's wrong now?  If anything letting Bumblebee be a Volkswagen Beetle again would give them publicity.  

I have heard the same thing about Bumble Bee from several different places, so more than likely it is true. I did hear however that VW wasn't willing to pay what thye were asking for them to use a Beetle. The Beetle is nearing the end of its life cycle and VW probably couldn't justify the cost for a car that may not be in production for another year or two.

The pic of bumble bee transformed looked impressive but I'm still disappointed he's not a beetle.  

time to download it with bit torrent.  

You might want to wait a year, since its not out till July 2007 :P

This should prove to be quite the entertaining movie since Michael Bay, master of Explosions and Big Budget Crap Fests is Directing.
