In 4x4, when turning the front tires lock up - literally and even after straightening them out....they are still locked.  There has been several times where we back out of the inclined drive way, and the fronts are locked up and we've almost been hit because we can't get the truck to move, the front is locked.  And as mentioned in one of the other forums touchy brakes locking up seems to be an M.O. for the Colorado....This truck has been in 3 times and still no results....they look at me like I'm a dumb female and "that's the way it is.."  Well I don't accept that it'll lock up when deactivating the cruise....it'll stay locked up after a turn, even in reverse....so do we trade this thing in and lose money or do we fight.
Hmmmmm....dira

If the thing is under warranty and definitely if you are the original purchaser then I would track down the number for GM corporate office and politely tell them what is going on and what your local dealer is saying about the condition.  If no luck there then I would immediatley lawyer up!  Do not threaten that you are gonna sue, just get a lawyer and suprise them!

I went through the same when I owned a 2005 Colorado. I tried so much to like that truck. They look so nice but the materials they're made with are so cheap. The interior is straight from Fisher Price. I bought a crew cab that was 27 grand back in 05. Decided to trade it in 8 months later and it depreciated 11 grand according to the Ford *experts*. With only 9500 miles on the dash I still decided to trade it in for a different vehicle. The best place for a Colorado is either at the Chevrolet dealership or at a used car parkig lot. Get rid of that PIECE OF Seirra. There's so many better vehicles out there for you. I lost ALOT of money but it was soooo Worth it.
