I can image the psychological impact is enormous.
the biggest psychological impact for me is that this didn't happen years ago. I am actually suprised this didn't happen at least 15 years ago? How long has it been since the Americans actually built competitve cars with foreign automakers? I would say a good 30 years.

Its not suprising to hear this. The big three dropped the ball with the rising gas prices. I just wonder if they will ever catch up?
