I think that would depend who your audience is. If you're talking to a bunch of rice rocket riders then they'd be rooting for the sky or the supra, while whoever is into cruising around in porsches would be rooting for the carrera.

jching: All this talk about a Saturn beating a Carrera reminds me of a buddy of mind who was running an integra against a Ford Pinto. Guy lost like 4 times to the pinto but after the 4th time they found out the guy had like a V8 small block with like a nitrous injector under the hood.
aquabat911: You can make anything fast. Being able to pretend your Vin Diesel once every fem monthes might be worth it for some people. You can build a Fox body Mustang that will take just about anything in a straight line for under twenty grand. Does that make it a great car?
good point

yeah it's actually pretty popular to put monster v8s in pintos or vegas and have ultimate sleeper cars

This is almost the same topic as the one people had many arguments before. The Lamborgini Murcielago and the Mitsubishi EVO MR comparison. They were just as fast while the Mitsubishi costs 1/4 as much as the Lamborgini. The conclusion, you can only compare the power of those cars, and nothing else. The Saturn Sky is not a better car for being faster, and the Carrera is not a better car for being more expensive. A simple way to judge which one is a better car would be asking yourself, "if I were given either one for free, which one would I pick?" There goes the better car, in your OWN opinion.

the problem with the whole which one you would pick i i gave it to you for free thing is that you still know what each car is worth and you inherently choose the more expensive car. I think you would have to assume if both cars were absolutlely worthless and compare them to in blind performance and driver preference then you would find out which is the better car.
