Looking at it the proper way evolover, all it means is that the likely slew of similar complainers don't know this forum exists, which is why there aren't more complaints left by the "810"'.

Are these people still associated with specialty motors in Van Nuys? Stay away from specialty motors and anywhere else those crooks do business. They gave me a bogus check for a car.....total nightmare....

Funny how "Evolover" knows exactly how many cars they sell on a monthly basis and their sales volume and all of the articles in the paper about them. I'd assume that its probably one of their senior staff members, screwing around and pretending to be legit.
Lies are pretty common with these guys. Expect more...
So here's the updated scoop. "Duarte Mitsubishi", aka, "Freeway Mitsubishi" has changed their name AGAIN to "Aspen Mitsubishi" (you can see how often they change names with the LA County Clerk). They wear blue polo shirts and put up yellow and blue ribbons so they can confuse customers who pull into the CarMax parking lot next door. If you ask to speak to a manager, they blow into the loudspeaker to let the manager know that they really don't need to come listen to you. If you ask for copies of documents, they will tell you that the "business office is closed", even though they just sold a car ten minutes ago.
These guys are very good at being very bad. We'll see how their antics stand up in court. Seven months later, I'm tired of being the nice guy... and am finally going to follow through with my lawsuit threats. It's become more than a matter of money... it's a matter of principle now. They still owe me thousands, and they really don't care.
And for the dissenters... no, I'm not a jaded employee, nor am I paid by another dealership to smear them. I am a very VERY dissatisfied customer, and my dissatisfaction knows no bounds.
Again... this dealership is now ASPEN MITSUBISHI of DUARTE. That's ASPEN MITSUBISHI on Central Avenue in DUARTE. Hopefully Google will pick this thread up and make it number two on their hit list for "Aspen Mitsubishi" like it did for "Freeway Mitsubishi".

Very angry.... These frickin' guys screwed us as well! Not only did they not pay off my trade in until 2 months later which dinged my credit repore, I have just placed my Mustang that I purchased from them in for a new alternator..... Lo and Behold, THEY HAVEN'T PAID MERCURY INSURANCE FOR THE SERVICE CONTRACT THAT I PAID $2K FOR!!!! So now my car is still in the shop, I have to pay out of pocket, and now there is a fraud investigation being initiated by my bank lender. Time to check on the gap insurance that they supposedly sold us!!!! Oh and did I mention, THEY'VE CLOSED AND ARE NO WHERE TO BE FOUND!!!!!! Also very slick and Bull***tty in the way they schmoozed me into buying the car...... Very very Sneaky Pieces of ***

Hi, I was reading your post about Aspen Mitsubishi in Duarte. And all I can say is I am in the same boat as you are! Basically I went in and traded in my vehicle for another. They never payed off my trade in and I am getting harassed by the finance company on my trade in. They keep telling me this is going to ruin my credit and blah blah! I also went to the dealership and discovered its GONE!! You mentioned there is a fraud investigation going on with your lender. My lendor on the trade in says I need an attorney and there is nothing they can do about it. I am so so pissed off!! Have any idea what else can be done?

Hi:
We are in the same boat as you guys, wished that we found out about this site before, We bought a used car on DEC 07 from Aspen Mitsubishi Dealer it was around Xmas time and we paid the amount if FULL in CASH. Till we paid in full, they never saw the importance to tell us that the car had something wrong with its electrical braid, they had to order it from Japan, which took us till after Mid-January, then we received a call it was ready , they gave us an appointment we drove all the way there just to find out that OOPS they sold OUR FULLY PAID car to a car dealer, neverthless to say we had to wait for almost another week to get the car back, we went down there AGAIN to find out that they changed the tires with very old ones, at this point we had completely paid for the car and had nothing in hand, but we insisted that they changed the tires and they did.
Make a long story short, they said they will forward the paperwork to the DMV we bought the insurance and everything ready that it will take around 90 days to finalize the paperwork that was End of FEB.
IN May we still did not receive anything and we called and OOPS they said they lost the SMOG Certificate on the car and they need us to take the car back to them so they can do it but we need an appointment, we went down there a couple of times but always someone was not there and we had to come back, finally by beginning July we kept leaving messages on a machine and no one will pick up the phones, then their number was disconnected we tried all the Cell phone numbers that we had for them, the were all disconnected. We paid fir the registration if the car, and did the Smog but now DMV needs the title of the car which was never sent to us or to DMV. In order for us to do the paperwork we have either to get a BOND for the value of the car or to put a CASH DEPOSIT for the value of the car????????????????????
That means paying twice for the car and letting a con artist get away with our money. Is anyone in the same situation, Does anyone has any ideas what to do to get the title? Need your help Thank you J&S
