In 2008 we will see the arrival of the VW Roaster. It is rumored to be a rear wheeled, mid engine car. This will leave room for the GTI's 197-hp engine, VW 280hp engine or even.....a Bugatti version with a v-8 450hp engine. The spawning of the VW roaster could lead to a new, wide array of VW product line.
I have only seen artists renderings of this vehicle but it looks and sounds very promising.

How do you do a mid engine car? I have worked on many VW vehicles and have only seen rear or front engine vehicles. Am I wrong? Please enlighten me.

A Bugatti Type VW with 450 HP? I'd like to drive that down to Baja! Is it AWD? Can it be taken off-road?
What is the projected cost? Is it insurable? Mexican Auto Insurance - Information?
