VW has announced it'll be selling the body kit of its Passat R GT sometime in fall this year. For shots, check here (http://www.motortrend.com/auto_shows/coverage/112_2005_sema_auto_show/index13.html#3) and here (http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2006/04/14/004020.html).
Price's lookin' around $4500.

For the most part I like the kit. I think it was a mistake to make the most aggresive kit available for the Passat first. I think they would have better reaction for a kit like that for the Jetta and GTI, which they also whowed at SEMA and also the LA Autoshow. I realise they are probably saving it for the anniversary GTI that is rumored to be realeased for the 25th anniversary of the GTI in the US. Lets hope this is a sign of things to come from VW. I have high hopes for the things that Project Moonraker will come up with.

I have to admit that VW's vehicles are getting very attractive. My biggest concern is the quality issue. The company never had the rep that BMW and, especially, Mercedes-Benz, had with being bulletproof and it's haunting the company nearly as bad as Ford and GM.
