I have a 1995 Isuzu Rodeo (my daughters) that idles at 1000 to 1500 rpm on occasion. I am wondering if anyone else has experience this problem and what might be the cause. I have checked all the air sensors and they appear to be operating okay. Sometimes it will idle just fine at 800 rpm, but other times it will get up to 12-1500 rpms and stay that way on idle. The engine runs very good and has been well taken care of.
Any suggestions?

Is there a specific time when the car idles high? Like when you first start it? i would look for a vacumm leak. When you say you checked your air sensors, what exactly did that entail?
